Authorities from the ghmc in this city started an inquiry on thursday after residents in various regions of the southern portion of the city reported a strong and strange stench since the morning. Strong chemical or gas scents were reported by locals in Mangalhat, Begum Bazar, Tappa Chabutra, Jiyaguda, Darussalam, Chaderghat, and Malakpet.

Some communities' terrified citizens slept poorly that night. Even symptoms like headaches, nausea, and respiratory irritation were mentioned by some persons. Many people attempted to get the authorities' notice by posting on social media to express their worries about the possible health threat.

In response to public concerns, the Greater hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has started taking action. Authorities from ghmc took water samples from the musi river and sent them for study after people in communities near the musi river complained of an odd stench. Municipal officials believe that Musi's pollution may be to blame for the stink. Additional Medical Officer of health (AMOH), Dr. srikanth Reddy, visited Musi, took water samples, and forwarded them to the pollution Control Board for examination. Officials stated that they were awaiting the outcomes.
