tom Holland's action-adventure adaption Uncharted will premiere on Netflix on that day. In february of this year, the film, which is an adaptation of the popular Uncharted video game series, finally made it to theatres after years of difficult production and delays brought on by COVID-19. Despite unfavourable reviews from critics, the film was a minor box office hit, earning close to $402 million against a $120 million budget, making it one of the most successful video game adaptations ever. The action-packed adventure romp, which starred tom Holland as Nathan Drake, a bartender and explorer who sets out with Mark Wahlberg's Sully to find a legendary treasure, was eagerly anticipated.

According to a recent tweet from Netflix, the movie will be available on that well-known streaming service on July 15. A few pictures of Tati Gabrielle as Braddock, Wahlberg as Sully, and Holland as Drake are included with the Netflix tweet. See the original Tweet down below:

The streaming service has had a challenging six months, with members quitting Netflix and speculation of contentious measures like adding advertisements. Therefore, it appears that the streaming behemoths are attempting to increase their audience by including films they hope would increase subscription numbers. Uncharted is an example of a game with a dedicated following that was developed through the medium of video games, making it a welcome addition. This is a little step in the right direction, but it's evident that Netflix has its work cut out for it if it wants to once again lead the streaming market.
