Vaishnaw claimed that the sandhya theatre catastrophe was the result of inadequate state planning and that congress was using publicity stunts to shift the responsibility.

Actor Allu Arjun's detention, according to Union minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, is evidence that the congress government in telangana has "no respect for the creative industry."The minister's comments were made just hours after the actor from pushpa 2 was taken into custody in relation to a woman who died in a stampede at Hyderabad's sandhya Theatre. The event happened when a large crowd of admirers flocked to the theatre by rtc Crossroads in hopes of seeing Arjun.

When the theatre management failed to find a separate exit for the actor and his entourage, a stampede broke out during the unexpected visit, making matters worse.

According to authorities, revathi died amid the turmoil, while her son Sri teja suffocated and is now receiving medical attention in a hospital."The sandhya Theatre accident was a glaring example of inadequate planning on the part of the state and local government. They are now engaging in such publicity stunts to shift the responsibility," Vaishnaw wrote in a post on X.

Additionally, the union minister suggested that the telangana government, led by revanth Reddy, "instead of continuously attacking film personalities" help those impacted and discipline those in charge of organising the arrangements that day.

"It is also sad to see this becoming a norm in the one year congress has been in power there," he stated. The announcement of Allu Arjun's arrest sparked a verbal spat between the congress administration and the opposition parties.

Arjun's arrest was also criticised by KT Rama Rao, working president of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), who called the imprisonment an instance of "insecurity of the rulers."

"Treating allu arjun Garu as a common criminal is uncalled for, especially for something he isn’t directly responsible for," Rao wrote on X.He denounced the "high-handed" actions of the congress government and added that there is always room for decency and respect.

However, revanth Reddy, the chief minister of telangana, stated that the state government was not involved in the case that led to Arjun's detention and that the law is working itself out.

Notably, arjun was arrested from his home and driven in a police car to the Chikkadpally police station. He was thereafter brought to gandhi Hospital for a check-up.After the actor was brought before a hyderabad court, he was placed under 14 days of judicial custody. But the telangana High court granted arjun temporary bail.

Authorities claimed that because of a delay in the release of his temporary bail order, the actor had to spend the night in jail even after being granted bail.
