Alia Bhatt isn't new to the red carpet. The starlet, who is gearing up for the release of her much-anticipated film, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi, in which she stars, addressed the debut of the movie at the 72nd Berlinale international Film festival in Berlin. To mirror her on-screen image, the actress has been wearing only white clothing for the film's advertising. When she walked the red carpet in Berlin in a cream saree designed by indian designer pair Rimple and Harpreet Narula, she elevated things to the extreme.

Alia Bhatt wore an ivory white saree with sequin details to the red carpet launch of her movie with acclaimed filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. This tailored chiffon design by Rimple and Harpreet, styled by Ami Patel, paid homage to the 28-year-old actress' on-screen image. The garment had elaborate embroidery and a ruffled edge with fringes and doris for a dramatic flair. The sari was draped over a strapless top with a backless pattern in the very same tone as the saree. Her shirt, too, was embellished with careful sequin work to match her glitzy ensemble.

Alia's makeup was as as stunning as her clothing. She walked the red carpet with a clean, immaculate base that didn't wash out her freckles, filled-in and well-defined brows, sparkly silver eyeshadow to match her attire, and rich, crimson red lips. Her hairstyle was pulled back into a tidy ponytail, allowing her cosmetics to take centre stage. The best statement jewelry for this red carpet ensemble were a set of platinum and diamond studs.
