Instead of promoting indigenous talent, the Southern indian film business is always looking for North indian women. Following their success in the South, these North indian heroines return to bollywood and begin disparaging the South film industry. ileana d'cruz and taapsee pannu were among the first to do so, and now Raashi Khanna has joined the list.

Raashii made her cinematic debut in madras Cafe, a hindi feature. It did not help her career in Bollywood. She began acting in telugu films soon after. She was successful and quickly rose to the ranks of A-list actresses down here. Raashi has returned to mumbai and is concentrating on the hindi production. She was recently seen in the miniseries Rudra with ajay Devgan. It was favourably welcomed. She'll be seen in some other web series shortly, with shahid kapoor as the main character.

However, Raashi appears to be dismissing South flicks despite receiving offers in Bollywood. people in the South, she added in a recent interview with the Times of India, don't grasp the difference between adoring and objectifying a woman. people would refer to heroines as 'lasses' and'milky beauties,' she claims. She went on to say that she turned down several offers since she was just too attractive for the part. She claims that a woman in the South can be either a terrific actor or a glamour doll, but not both.
