priya Bhavani shankar has had a remarkable path in tamil cinema, starting off as a newsreader and now generating headlines for herself. Ten years after interviewing dhanush as a cub reporter, she will be seen alongside him in the upcoming movie Thiruchitrambalam. She is aware of this turn of events. "Some people like me because of what I do, but I also know people who think this success is unfair to me. Although this was not the career I had in mind, I am giving it everything I have, and things are improving.

She considers her most recent film, Yaanai by filmmaker Hari, to be one such endeavour. priya is now having the opportunity to work with seasoned filmmakers like Hari, Shankar (Indian 2), and radha mohan after previously working with a lot of debutantes and young filmmakers (Bommai). It's a little spooky. Other actors might be given the freedom to play "little" characters in major movies, but for some reason, when I play such roles, audiences tend to take it personally. But I've come to understand how important it is to appear in expensive movies. Additionally, my contributions in these projects have had an influence and, more crucially, been treated with respect.

"I don't have an industry mentor. On what tasks to take on, nobody gave me any advice. Nobody advised me not to decline a big-budget movie. I've made mistakes of my own and improved because of them. Additionally, I am aware that I am an outsider and that I am not a very "attractive" actor. All I can do is give every job my all and convince my colleagues of my abilities, says priya
