FASTag collection at customs last october crossed Rs 3,300 crore.


Waiting in line at toll plazas on highways has been a problem. vehicles had to wait in long queues for hours due to various issues including delay in payment of customs duty and problems in retail delivery. 

To resolve this issue FASTag payment system came into force on february 15th.


Congestion at customs has been reduced as tariffs can be paid digitally through Fastag. Similarly, it is said that toll fraud at customs posts has been reduced through this new practice. 


In the same week that this system was implemented, customs duties at customs offices increased by 23 per cent. In this case, the details of the Fastag tariff collection for october have been released.


Accordingly, a total of 214.23 million Fastcock transactions took place in October. Through this Rs. 3,356 crore has been collected. This collection is the largest monthly collection since the introduction of Fastag. 

Earlier, it had collected Rs 3,000 crore in September. A total of 193.6 million transactions took place then. Similarly, it received Rs 122.81 crore in 201.2 million transactions in August.
