The year 2023 has been very important in the field of electric vehicles (EVs). Many automotive companies have made clear their intention to transition to all-electric brands in the next few years. Other companies are also gradually moving towards eco-friendly solutions and strengthening their portfolio of ICE and hybrid vehicles. Adopting this change, the famous Japanese automobile manufacturer Isuzu has revealed its plans to enter the EV market with an electric pickup truck specially designed for the european market. The announcement was made by Isuzu President and COO Shinsuke Minami during a media event in Bangkok, thailand to unveil the updated Isuzu D-Max truck. Minami emphasized the company's active efforts toward achieving a carbon-neutral environment. Isuzu is working to develop a battery electric vehicle pickup truck.

The company's strategy includes initially introducing the BEV pickup truck in the european market, with plans to gradually roll out it to other markets after analyzing market demands, including Thailand. However, Minami has not yet revealed technical details about the upcoming Isuzu electric pickup truck, and its launch timeline is also not known. However, speculations suggest that Isuzu may introduce an electric version of its popular Isuzu D-Max pickup. The new Isuzu electric pickup truck will be launched in the global market in 2025.

At present, no official information has been received about the launch of the Isuzu electric pickup truck in India. In the indian market, Isuzu offers a series of six models across multiple automotive segments, which include models like MU-X, V-Cross, Hi-Lander, S-Cab, S-Cab Z, and D-Max.

Earlier this year, Isuzu india introduced updated models of the D-Max V-Cross, Hi-Lander, and MU-X models to comply with Real Driving Emissions (RDE) norms.
