New Generation Renault Duster
The Renault Duster mid-size SUV was once quite popular in india but was later discontinued due to low sales. Renault is now attempting to revive the Duster brand in the market by introducing a comprehensive generational overhaul. The new generation Renault Duster SUV has been awaited for a long time, which will be launched in the global market on november 29, 2023. However, its specifications have not been disclosed yet. It is being speculated that the new Duster will have significant changes, ranging from modern design and better interiors to advanced technology and better powertrain. Here are five important changes that we are expecting in the new generation Renault Duster.
Bigster inspired design
The upcoming Duster will get a boxy and luxurious design inspired by the Dacia Bigster. The SUV will come with a redesigned front grille, attractive LED headlamps, a fresh bumper with integrated aluminum skid plates, and prominently flared fenders. While the front doors will continue to feature conventional handles, the rear doors will feature C-pillar-mounted door handles. The rear profile is expected to get updates, which will include triangular-shaped tail lamps and a new bumper.
Three-row version
Media reports indicate that the next-generation Renault Duster will be available in both 5-seater and 7-seater configurations. The 5-seater variant will compete with the hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, maruti Grand Vitara, and honda Elevate, while the 7-seater Duster will compete with the upcoming three-row SUVs from maruti Suzuki and Toyota.
Will be based on a new platform
In a major generation update, the Duster will be built on a new CMF-B modular platform, which will serve as the basis for Renault's future offerings. All Renault models using this new platform will share many common elements including axle design, floor design, cabin layout, and electronic equipment. This platform's versatility will enable the company to comply with emissions and safety standards as well as interchange components between vehicles, adapting them to different markets and customer requirements.
Will increase in size
Apart from its design and platform updates, the new Duster will also grow in size, as indicated by the spy pictures. The previous generation model had a length of 4360 mm, a width of 1822 mm height of 1695 mm, and a wheelbase was 2673 mm.
Hybrid powertrain
The next generation Renault Duster is expected to get electric and plug-in hybrid powertrain. However, it remains to be seen whether the hybrid model will be available in india or not. Earlier in india, this SUV was available with a 1.3L turbocharged petrol engine with 156bhp power.
