Vistara Tickets Can Be Booked Only Until september 3 for Flights Through november 11

With the upcoming merger of Vistara and air india nearing completion, passengers can book Vistara flights only until september 3 for travel through november 11. After this date, all Vistara flights will be integrated into air India’s operations, and bookings will be redirected to air India’s website.

Vistara will continue to operate and accept bookings as usual until november 11, 2024. From november 12 onwards, following the merger’s completion, Vistara passengers will fly with air India.

The merger has received a significant update with singapore International airlines (SIA) announcing that the indian government has approved its foreign direct investment (FDI) into air India. Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd. will hold a 73.38% stake in the merged entity, while singapore airlines will retain 25.1%.

Vinod Kannan, CEO of Vistara, expressed gratitude to customers and emphasized that the merger aims to enhance travel options with a larger fleet and expanded network.

Vistara has assured customers that they will receive regular updates on the merger process via websites, social media, and email. This will include information on web check-in, lounge access, and other services to ensure a smooth transition.

The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) approved the merger on june 6, allowing a nine-month period for the dissolution of Vistara. The airline’s operating permit from the director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is valid until december 2024. The Competition Commission of india (CCI) also approved the deal in september 2023, subject to certain conditions.
