If you change color of the car, you will have to pay fine!

In India, a strict law has been made regarding changing the paint or color of cars. If you change the color of your car, then it is necessary to register it legally in the RTO. The indian Motor vehicles Act says that to change the color of the car, it is mandatory to update the registration certificate (RC) of the vehicle. If you change the color of the car without giving any information and do not update it, then you may have to pay a big fine for it. Now it is important for you to know what are the rules regarding changing the color of the car. If you want to change the original color of your car and get it painted in some other color, then it is necessary to change the RC i.e. registration certificate of the car. Along with this, when you inform the RTO, it will register the new color of your car in the RC.

In such a situation, a heavy fine can be imposed

Legally, this process recognizes the new color of the car. One thing you need to know is that if you change the colour without informing the RTO and the police catches this during checking, then you can be fined heavily. It is also possible that your car may be confiscated. If you want to make such a change in the car, which changes the original form of the car, then you will have to go to the RTO office of your area and pay some fee for this change and get it registered in the RC of the car. After this you can get its colour changed.

While doing modifications in your car, it is important to keep in mind that there is no change in the original form of the car. For example, if you want to change the tyres of your vehicle, then you can get it changed. But it is very important that the new tyres match the top model of the vehicle. If you get such tyres installed which do not fit the model of that vehicle, then it will be considered illegal.
