Chennai: Accusing the DMK of winning the rural local body elections through false means, the DMK has said that it will expose the irregularities of the law and the incompetence of the election commission in court and expose it to democracy.


The counting of votes for the recently concluded rural local government elections in tamil Nadu was done yesterday (Oct. 12) morning. Out of a total of 140 district councillor posts, DMK won 138 seats. ADMK won only 2 seats. Similarly, the DMK captured more than a thousand of the 1,381 Union Councilor posts. In many places, the AIADMK has suffered a major setback. 

Chapter of Anarchy, The DMK has unleashed unprecedented violence in the recent local elections and ended up carrying out massive electoral violence. In the AIADMK, we have held two assembly elections, two lok sabha elections and two rural local government elections in a single phase. But there is some inner meaning that the DMK and the government are trying to hold rural local elections for only 9 districts in two phases. The DMK, the government and the election commission have worked for hand in hand to disrespect the voters.


Violence was unleashed in several places on recording day. The AIADMK, on behalf of the AIADMK, has filed a petition with the election commission seeking its immediate halt to it and has failed to take appropriate action. In many places, the vote count is so deliberately delayed. In many places, the AIADMK and the election commission and election officials did not take the initiative to announce the victory even after the candidates had won. 


Knowing in advance that the DMK would carry out such a democratic massacre, we have lodged 7 complaints with the election commission through the DMK Legal Advisory Committee. We will bring these violations of law and the incompetence of the election commission to justice and bring to justice the DMK's victory in this election through the back door.
