With his families, superstar Rajinikanth witnessed Annaatthe. Rajinikanth stated his grandson Ved krishna embraced him passionately after the viewing in an audio note on Hoote. Rajinikanth recently visited a private screening of his forthcoming flick Annaatthe in Madras. With his spouse Latha, children soundarya and Aishwarya, and grandkids, he saw the movie.

On Hoote, a voice-based social networking site launched by soundarya, he submitted two voice notes about the viewing. He mentioned in one of the audio notes that his grandchild Ved krishna enjoyed the picture. Rajinikanth wrote in response, "With my daughters, soundarya, Aishwarya, wife Latha, Visagan, Ved, and my in-laws Vanangamudi and usha Vanangamudi, I saw Annaatthe. Ved requested a seat close to me so he could watch the show. It's the first of my films that he has seen.

He hugged me for 4 minutes just after showing and said, "I am delighted thathu." When he's joyful, he nicknames me Thathu. It's the first time we've all watched a show in the first place. It made me ecstatic. I exited the theatre after thanking Ved. Kalanithi Maaran was waiting for me to get there, and he greeted me with a chuckle. Despite his crazy schedule, he made a conscious effort to attend, which was quite impressive."
