Rain update: Weather Department on Depression formed

The Depression formed near the Coastal tamilnadu have moved Northwest side in the past 6 hours and Northern tamilnadu around 60 km from Vellore. It is reported that it will move towards North westwards and will weaken into a low-pressure area in the coming next 6 hours. Many places to receive moderate rainfalls and isolated places like Karnataka, North tamilnadu, Rayalaseema, Puducherry, and Karaikal may receive heavy rainfall on november 19th and 20th November.

 

Depression is seen on the east side of the arabian sea and it is concentrating over the same area for the next 24 hours. The depression formed has weakened into a low-pressure area near North tamilnadu and Karnataka. Heavy rainfall is expected in krishnagiri and also in Salem.

                 Fishermen are not allowed to go into the sea and are given a warning. A very light spell is expected in chennai says Balachandran from Meteorological Department. A team consisting of seven members including the Joint Secretary has planned to visit tamilnadu regarding the rain-affected areas. The team is taken from all respective ministries and they will reach within a couple of days and check the affected areas in Tamilnadu.
