PMK youth wing leader Anbumani Ramadoss has lashed out at director Bharathiraja for troubling 'Karnan' and 'The Family Man 2' and just leave 'Jai Bhim' alone. He said, "You issued a strong statement stating that the recently released the family man 2 series should be banned across the board. So, where did your artistic freedom vanish? What happened to your creative licence when you altered the word '1997' to 'late 1990s' in the current film 'Karnan'? Do you and the film industry agree that the Vanni should be allowed to use the sacred fireball bomb to trash society as a whole in the name of artistic freedom?

We are not the ones who started the film under the name 'Eli Vettai' and politicised the name 'Jai Bhim' at the end for the sake of excitement. Fearing being called Anthony Samy, they changed their names to Gurumoorthy and politicised and converted the minority group into a dark society, and it was the film industry, not the two communities, that caused the caste riots in northern tamil Nadu.

The caste riots and their societal effects are well known to those of you from the Southern District. However, there have been no such riots in northern tamil Nadu for the past 40 years, and people have been allowed to live in peace and serenity. You may be aware of Ramadass's social justice accomplishments as a native of northern tamil Nadu and a member of the Vanniyar clan, but the film business that supports you is unlikely to be aware."
