India on alert: Two South Africans in Bangalore tested covid positive

A total of 94 people came from south africa to india from november 1st to 26th. Out of that, two of them tested positive for covid-19. Further tests showed that they have tested normal covid-19 only not the new variant omicron. The Bangalore Rural Deputy Commissioner K.Srinivas said that people don't need to worry about the new variant in them.

After the emergence of a new variant from south africa, two South Africans were tested positive and their samples were sent for further tests to ascertain about the variant. Both of them were made to quarantine and people don't need to panic about it.
                K.Srinivas spoke to the reporters that both the infected persons have been isolated and are monitored by the health authorities and their samples were sent for further testing. Around ten countries have been identified with high risk and travelers coming from that countries had to take a compulsory test and those who are tested covid positive had to be quarantined.
From november 1st to 26th, around 584 people have arrived in Bangalore from all these ten high-risk countries. Even after testing negative, they have to stay at home and after a break of seven days, they need to take the test again. After the report is negative only, they need to go out.
