Cyclone Jawad update: High-speed winds in Andhra Pradesh's Srikakulam

The depression formed in the southern part of the Bay of bengal had turned into cyclone Jawad and heading towards the northern side and is likely to cross the Northern part of andhra pradesh and Southern odisha today. With the cyclone Jawad hitting Andhra today, Many rescue operation teams had ramped up and many relief operations are landed said the indian Navy on Friday.

 The Navy team are monitoring the movement of the storm, as the Cyclone Jawad heading towards the Andhra side and Southern Odisha. Naval officers and Eastern Naval command have made preparatory activities to face the cyclone and its after-effects.
                               People near the Odisha's puri beach area are made to evacuate with their shops and all their belongings. Many police are deployed in the wake of the storm. Everyone on the beach of puri is made vacate and many shelter homes are established for those people. The guidelines from the government have been followed during these times.
The Jawad had weakened and moved towards its landfall near Srikakulam. Districts like vijayanagaram and srikakulam may receive light to moderate rains in the next few hours. No heavy rains are expected in the coming hours. vishakapatnam may receive little drizzles.
