The helicopter carrying Bipin Rawat had crashed in 2015.


This is the second helicopter crash involving Joint Chiefs of Staff Bipin Rawat. The previous helicopter crashed in Rawat in 2015, six years ago. The Cheetah helicopter he was travelling in that day crashed in dimapur, Nagaland.


An army helicopter carrying senior defence officers crashed in Coonoor in Nilgiris district in tamil Nadu on Wednesday. The whole country is praying for the well being of Bipin Rawat.


Bipin Rawat had narrowly escaped then the incident is on february 3, 2015. The time was between nine and 10 in the morning. 


The helicopter was taking off from the helipad in the dimapur district of Nagaland. There were three army personnel on board including Lieutenant General Bipin Rawat. 

The helicopter had just taken off when the engine came to a halt at about 20 feet above the ground. The helicopter crashed, inflicting minor injuries to the occupants.


A military helicopter carrying Bipin Rawat crashed in Coonoor, tamil Nadu this afternoon for the second time. The crashed air Force Mi-17V5 helicopter was carrying 14 people, including Bipin Rawat and his wife Madhulika. 


Of these, 13 have been confirmed dead. No official information about Bipin Rawat has been released so far.
