Electricity tariff may increase in tamil Nadu!!!
Shockingly, the central government has instructed the tamil Nadu electricity Board to increase electricity tariffs. The central government has instructed the tamil Nadu electricity Board to increase electricity tariffs to help the Board recover from its debt. This has had severe repercussions across the state. In that regard, the All india electricity Consumers Association (Tamil Nadu) has strongly condemned this.
The notification said: "It is unacceptable to increase electricity surcharges and further inflict suffering on the country, which is already plagued by unemployment, growing expenses of essential commodities such as petrol, diesel, onions, and tomatoes.
How is it fair to impose E-Board debt on people? While it is true that the E-Board is in debt, the people are not responsible for it. The reasons for this are the high cost of purchasing electricity and coal from the private sector and the rampant corruption in various aspects such as administrative corruption in the maintenance of the union.
Apart from that, increasing electricity tariffs on people can never be accepted. Therefore, the central government should immediately withdraw its instruction to increase electricity tariffs. We also urge the central government to withdraw the E-Bill 2021 and the State government to reject this instruction of the Union government altogether.
