Dismissal of the case seeking to include the Paraiyar community. Order dismissing the case on the ground that relief can be sought by petitioning the district Collector.

The madurai branch of the high court has dismissed a case seeking permission for members of the Paraiyar community to attend the Palamedu Jallikattu festival this year.
He had filed a welfare case in the madurai branch of the beauty high court in Palamettu, madurai district. It said, "Avanyapuram, Palamedu and Alankanallur Jallikkattu, which are held in madurai district on the eve of pongal festival, are world-famous.

The festival is usually organized by the village General Mahalinga Swami Mutt Committee. From 2016 to last year, the court ordered that the guidelines be adhered to and that action be taken to ensure that all community members participate equally. But the village chiefs did not follow the court guidelines properly.
The Jallikattu festival Committee has so far not given a chance to the people of the Adi Dravidar Community, especially those belonging to the Paraiyar community. It's only because they have adhered to the rules of Jallikattu.

Therefore, this year's Palamedu Jallikkattu festival Committee should be ordered to give a chance to the members of the Pariyar community as well.
