K.T. Rama Rao, the deputy chairman of the telangana rashtra samithi (TRS), criticised prime minister Narendra Modi's words in parliament on tuesday and requested that he ask forgiveness of telangana people. Rama Rao, a prominent state minister, wrote, "Utterly shameful of you Mr. prime minister continually demeaning the generations of valiant struggle & sufferings of the people of Telangana."

"I strongly oppose the Prime Minister's foolish words and demand that he repent to the citizens of telangana," KTR, the son of chief minister K. chandrasekhar Rao, wrote. Furthermore, KTR, as he is known, has called for protests in response to the Prime Minister's remarks made on Wednesday. He instructed the party's cadres to hold protests around the state.

The party leader instructed his followers to set fire to bjp effigies in all mandal capitals and assembly segments, as well as hold rallies with black flags. In a speech to the Rajya Sabha, prime minister Narendra Modi criticised the congress for the way it split andhra pradesh in 2014. Both the trs and the congress reacted angrily to his remarks, accusing him of insulting telangana and demanding an explanation from the head.
