The city's four copp commissionerates — Hyderabad, Cyberabad, and Rachakonda — will give a one-time discount to individuals who have yet to pay up for different traffic offences, providing considerable relief to those with pending challans. The police stated in a statement that this is being done as a "professional effort" because the community has endured economic challenges in the last two years.

It went on to say that 84 percent of all pending challans are for two-wheeler or auto owners, who are "primarily from the middle/ lower-middle/poor strata of society," according to the report. If only 24% of the challan fee is paid for challans against a two-wheeler, the remaining 74% will be waived. If pushcarts and petty vendors pay 21 percent, the remaining 81 percent will be waived. rtc drivers will have 71 percent of their fines erased if they pay the remaining 31 percent. If you pay 51 percent of the price for a car, light motor vehicle, jeep, or heavy vehicle, the rest will be refunded.

This one-time discount promotion will take place between march 1 and march 31, and comes as a result of Rs 601 crore in outstanding dues dating back to 2014. In the last seven years, there have been 1.81 crore outstanding challans, according to reports. All dues must be paid in full online. From march 1, a link will be available on the telangana e-challan portal for clearing outstanding challans, according to the police. According to Siasat, Joint director AV ranganath previously stated that many fines are compoundable if the enforcement agency and the offender can reach an agreement.
