Runway 34 is partially based on the account of a flight from Doha to kochi that narrowly avoided disaster owing to poor visibility and bad weather a few years ago. Captain Vikrant Khanna (Ajay Devgn, who also serves as the film's director and producer) is a high-flying pilot who is strong and borderline arrogant in his talents, particularly in dealing with turbulence and crises at 35000 feet above sea level. He works for a commercial airline.

With Runway 34's linear narrative, no scene comes as a complete shock or a foreshadowing of what is to follow. With Capt. Khanna partying and returning to transport hundreds of passengers the next evening, ajay devgn and his dialogue writers sandeep Kewlaani and Aamil Keeyaan Khan ratchet up the film's pace. The storyline is kept lively, exciting, and snappy thanks to Aseem Bajaj's camera and amar Mohile's backing music.

The first half of the film is nearly exclusively devoted to ajay Devgn's portrayal of the aviation tragedy. Because of the combination of VFX and accompanying music, the in-flight sequences are without a doubt the most captivating. Runway 34 does not necessarily blow you away in terms of acting. There isn't much more to say about ajay Devgn's typical charm, amitabh Bachchan's frightening personality, or rakul Preet Singh's competent performance. Boman Irani, a talented actor, also appears in the film and strives to provide a compelling performance while playing a poorly written character.

The questioning between amitabh and ajay in the second half is a highlight, although it does not completely captivate you. The film's strength is in its visual effects and the visually stunning sequences that Devgn manages to produce while still telling a good story. This does not excuse the fact that Runway 34 contains a number of amusing moments. In one moment in the movie, ajay devgn is interrogated, and his employment as a pilot who transports hundreds of people is compared to that of a delivery person. Also, why is tanya Albuquerque the name of Rakul's pilot character? Despite a few dialogues devoted to her name's pronunciation, the filmmakers never clarify it.
