After Robert (Bruce Willis) murders Balzary (Chad Michael Murray), his wife Sasha (Natali Ura) seeks vengeance. Robert is taken to the hospital after being shot in the line of duty. As all hell breaks loose, Sasha uses this opportunity to disclose that Balzary never died and allows him into the base. Balzary is pursuing hundreds of millions of dollars that he stole and can only be accessed by Robert's son. Balzary begins to lose control of his prisoners after torturing half of the base, despite the fact that they are all well-trained fighters and shooters. Robert eventually awakens to save the day and do what he believed he had already completed.
The absence of Bruce Willis is perhaps the most shocking aspect of Fortress: Sniper's Eye. His screen time is shorter than that of all of his co-stars in a film where he is clearly the star. He plays a pivotal role in the film's first act, although he isn't seen again until the last act. The cast as a whole is disappointing, and Willis' performance isn't his greatest. In the end, Fortress: Sniper's Eye is basically a jumble of clichés and poor one-liners. The action in Fortress: Sniper's Eye is the most disappointing aspect of the game. When watching a straight-to-VOD action sequel, the audience knows what they're going into, yet even by those criteria, the film falls short.
Even while chad Michael Murray is engrossing, it isn't enough to let the spectator overlook the dozen other things that are either wrong or tedious. While Fortress: Sniper's Eye is purely for fans of the Fortress franchise, it's difficult to picture its core audience loving it.
