According to claims based on satellite imagery, china is building a new bridge over Pangong So Lake in eastern Ladakh, according to the Union Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It is reported that the region where the bridge will be built is occupied. According to top defence authorities, china is presently constructing a bridge in an area it already controls. They are currently constructing the large bridge. Military vehicles and soldiers can be transported from one side of the lake to the other using it.

They had previously constructed the tiny bridge in order to construct the larger bridge. That little bridge isn't meant to last. Once the main bridge is completed and operational, it will be dismantled. The little bridge's construction began in october 2021. The building was finished in january 2022. That little bridge was too narrow for even police boats to pass through. The little bridge was created to transport bridge construction materials. As a result, it has been suggested that what the Chinese are currently constructing cannot be classified as a second bridge.

The bridge is being built over Pongong Lake, according to Foreign Ministry spokesman Arindam Paxi. The military was involved. As a result, I am unable to discuss it. However, india has always assumed that the region where the bridge is being constructed is populated. However, we are keeping a tight eye on such activities. Foreign minister Jaishankar also gave Chinese Foreign minister Wang Yi an update on India's stance on the Ladakh border dispute.
