The three chiefs of the indian army announced the 'Agneepath' policy regarding short-term appointments in the army. Defense minister Rajnath Singh removed the curtain from Agneepath on Tuesday. He said that the cabinet Committee on Defense has taken an important decision. The Defense minister said, "Today we are coming up with a transformational scheme called 'Agneepath', which will transform and modernize our armed forces.




The Defense minister said, under the 'Agneepath' scheme, indian youth will be provided an opportunity to serve in the armed forces as 'Agniveer'. This scheme has been brought to strengthen the security of the country and to give military service opportunity to our youth. You all will surely agree that the entire nation, especially our youth, looks up to the army with respect. Every child at some point in his life aspires to wear the uniform of the army.




Rajnath Singh said, "Youth will also benefit that they can be easily trained for new technology. Their health and fitness level will also improve. Under the Agneepath scheme, efforts are being made to ensure that the profile of the indian Armed Forces is as young as that of the indian population.



Defense minister said, 'Agneepath' scheme will increase employment opportunities. The skills and experience acquired during Agniveer's service will lead to employment in various sectors. A good pay package, a service fund package after four years of service and a 'death and disability' package have also been arranged for the firefighters.




What is Agneepath Scheme?

Under 'Agneepath', youth will get an opportunity to work in the army for four years. 25% of the youth who join it will be retained later. Those national and international news that became headlines throughout the day.



Defense minister Rajnath Singh said that this scheme will increase employment opportunities and strengthen the security of the country. Defense minister appealed to the youth to become Agniveer. Agniveer will be called 25% of the soldiers retained after four years of service.

During this, Navy Chief Admiral R. hari Kumar said that under this scheme about 45000 youth will be recruited for four years. He said that women will also be included in the fire fighters of the army.




The youth recruited under Agneepath will have to undergo six months of training to be retained further. Their salary will be around 40 thousand rupees. Announcing this plan, army Chief General Manoj Pandey said that this plan has been brought after detailed discussion and consultation with all concerned. Recruitment will start under the Agneepath scheme within the next 90 days i.e. three months. The age of the new Agniveers will be between 17 and a half years to 21 years.



India is one of those countries, where a large number of people get employment in the army. 14 lakh people have got jobs in the indian Army.

The desire to join the army has been strong among the youth of india for a very long time. Every year 60,000 personnel retire from the indian Army. The army had been organizing more than 100 rallies for open recruitment on these vacant posts.
