The most recent actor to weigh in on the language controversy is R Madhavan. It all began with a social media dispute between Kiccha sudeep and ajay devgn about hindi and South Asian cinema. The entire country soon appeared to be divided on the issue. R madhavan told IndiaToday while promoting his movie Rocketry: The Nambi Effect. In that he believes that these debates are acceptable as long as they are conducted in a competitive manner. The internal conflict will never end, he continued, but what matters is that we maintain our unity outside as a fraternity.

R madhavan previously said that he finds it terrible that the linguistic debate is still going on. IndiaToday.in questioned R madhavan about whether he thought the internal argument about language was unnecessary given that his most recent movie, Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, was presented as an indian movie at Cannes. It is the indian film industry, you know, R madhavan retorted. In a way, it is similar like having a family. There will always be arguments and attempts to resolve them inside a family since it is human nature to engage in conflict. But if someone threatens your family, there is no way you can let those arguments prevent you from standing as a unit.
