K.T. Rama Rao, the working president of the trs, poked fun at the bjp leadership while welcoming prime minister Narendra Modi and other bjp leaders to telangana, saying that the party's decision to hold its National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in hyderabad, which is taking place quickly, was not unexpected. KTR, the leader of the telangana rashtra samithi (TRS), claimed in an open letter to Modi that the bjp chose a developed location like hyderabad for its meetings due to the backwardness of the so-called double-engine states.

It is unrealistic to expect the bjp leaders to discuss development and the welfare of the populace at the NEC meeting given that bigotry and narrow-mindedness are ingrained in their DNA, according to KTR. He claimed that rather than discussing any novel policies or programmes, the true goal of the bjp convention was to sow division. The underlying ideology of the bjp, he continued, has always been to separate people.

According to KTR, the bjp is built on a foundation of lies, thus expecting its leaders to reflect on their own behaviour is unrealistic. "Telangana, which works for development, would not get a better place than the bjp to remake themselves and give their politics a fresh start," he remarked. According to KTR, prime minister Modi should research the telangana model of development, its policies, and programmes that might be applied in BJP-ruled states that are struggling with twin engines.
