It seems that amit shah, the Union home minister, believed that ramoji rao, the media magnate, would be the best candidate to win over the kamma lobby in the upcoming telangana assembly elections and the andhra pradesh elections in 2024. The bjp sources claim that amit Shah's decision to go directly to ramoji film city to meet ramoji rao sent a positive message to the Kammas, who view the media mogul as a respected member of the community.

For the obvious reason that they have been considering the tdp and its leader N chandrababu naidu as adversaries, Ramoji Rao's eenadu group of media has been publishing critical articles about the bjp and the narendra modi government at the Centre for the past three years. Though the bjp hasn't given this issue much attention in the past, it has recently come to understand how important the kamma community is, particularly in telangana, where the saffron party is currently focused.

"In telangana, eenadu has largely backed the telangana Rashtra Samithi, which is currently in power. There are scarcely any stories that are critical of KCR. However, it has been portraying the bjp negatively, according to a source. According to a survey conducted by bjp leaders, kamma settlers are a significant factor in at least 20 constituencies, with the majority of them located in the districts of hyderabad and Ranga Reddy. Since there is no other option, they are now supporting the TRS.
