Controversial media figure v ravi Prakash, the founder and CEO of well-liked telugu television news station tv9, is rumoured to be staging a comeback into the arena with a bang very soon after going into a virtual hibernation. High-ranking sources claim that ravi Prakash, who has been managing a news website and a few channels in the background, is planning to launch a Telugu-language television channel that will be a part of a large television network owned by the Ambani group.

"The preparations are in full flow, and the new channel will be introduced in a significant way in a month or two. It goes without saying that it will support the Bharat Janata party and fight telangana rashtra samithi assiduously in the upcoming elections. The group also plans to turn the present telugu website, known for its anti-TRS stance, into a legitimate newspaper. According to sources, this will also manifest itself very soon. According to sources, the new media outlet would be technologically cutting edge and usher in a new media coverage trend.

According to insiders, "it would embrace the most recent advances in the media and have a new approach to journalism." ravi Prakash was in the news for suing the new management after being abruptly fired from the Associated Broadcasting Corporation Ltd (ABCL), the promoter of tv9, a few years ago. He was eventually charged with forgery and cheating and was later released from custody. Since then, he has been out on bail, and the case is still open. The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), which ruled that the new promoters' takeover of the ABCL in august 2018 was entirely legal, declared that ravi Prakash had lost his case against the tv9 management in june of this year.
