Brahmastra made 5.76 Crores nett in its first day of release from sales of both the hindi and telugu versions combined. Additionally, it is reported that these two states contributed about 3.5+ crores net on the second day. Although the telugu version received generally negative reviews, it appears that the presence of "Rajamouli" as a presenter helped the movie attract a lot of interest in B&C theatres. Even while the movie is often only recommended as a one-time viewing, if sunday bookings are any indication, that opinion is growing.
Since the movie wasn't sold to a specific distributor or producer in telugu and was simply released by Rajamouli's close friend Vaarahi Cinemas, every single box office dollar is undoubtedly just a bonus. However, the upcoming monday is very important for the movie to maintain its box office position.
