Despite receiving mixed reviews, the ranbir kapoor and alia bhatt film "Brahmastra: Part 1 - Shiva" continued to make money over a successful weekend. Ayan Mukherji's ambitious movie, according to figures provided by the trade media, made Rs 125 crore throughout its debut weekend — Rs 37 crore on the first day, Rs 42 crore on the second day, and lastly Rs 46 crore on Sunday, per 'Bollywood Hungama'.

Similar statistics have been cited on all trade media websites, which have all agreed that ranbir kapoor has outperformed his previous best, "Sanju," with "Brahmastra," delivering his No. 1 opening weekend. The movie's box office earnings worldwide have been equally outstanding. According to "Pinkvilla," the movie made $6.315 million in its first two days, or Rs 49 crore at the current conversion rate, with the US/Canada market dominating with $3.55 million and the Middle east coming in second with $1.125 million.

The domestic revenue of the movie increases to roughly Rs 175 crore when the international revenue (even if it is just for two days) is added. In terms of hindi movies released in 2022, it is now ranked third, behind "The kashmir Files" (Rs 337.2 crore) and "Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2" (Rs 262.5 crore). The good news for "Brahmastra" is that no major motion picture is scheduled for release prior to the september 30 release of "Vikram Vedha," which stars hrithik roshan and Saif ali Khan.
