The movie "Brahmastra: Part One - Shiva" is the newest target of social media satire. amitabh bachchan, Nagarjuna, Ranbir Kapoor, and alia bhatt are the movie's stars. Similar to many previous hindi films, social media organisations have firmly opposed this one. And there are lots of supporters of these organisations and the stance they adopt! For a while, those involved with the film industry would remain silent. Instead, they make pronouncements that stoke the trolls.

An such is the social media post made on monday by the PVR theatre network announcing that it had sold 100,000 advance tickets for the movie "Brahmastra." The chain then made the claim that they were giving away one ticket for free for every three that were purchased for "Brahmastra"! The chain's management wasn't contradicting its own assertion about the popularity of the movie, was it?

The reactions that sprang out in the wake of this news were anything but favourable. If I may say so, they were humiliating. The multiplex network said that 1,00,000 seats were sold on Day One for a movie with a claimed budget of more over Rs 400 crore. This was incongruous. And why was there a discount before the movie was seen by the general public?
