Botsa Satyanarayana, a top party figure and the state's minister for education, may have to run for parliament in the upcoming general elections if ysr congress party president and andhra pradesh chief minister Y S jagan Mohan reddy has his way. Botsa, who currently serves as the assembly representative for the vizianagaram district's Cheepurupalli assembly seat, intends to run for office as a minister in the upcoming assembly elections from the same district.

The YSRC leadership, however, has other ideas. jagan reportedly opted to field the majority of the seniors in the lok sabha elections instead of the assembly elections as a result of a number of survey reports. jagan intends to field young people in their place who have a higher chance of winning the assembly elections. Therefore, he is considering nominating current vizianagaram MP Bellala chandrasekhar from Cheepurupalli to take Botsa's position in the Lok Sabha.

Botsa's near relative chandrasekhar is also a member of the Cheepurupalli family. Therefore, chandrasekhar might not have a hard time winning the assembly seat. In a similar vein, jagan intends to run chinna Sreenu, Botsa's nephew, in another assembly district. Even the duty of guaranteeing the party's victory in the district has been given to chinna Sreenu. If the YSRC wins the subsequent assembly elections once more, chinna Sreenu might replace Botsa as a minister in the upcoming elections.
