megastar chiranjeevi has recovered admirably from the failure of "Acharya," as "Godfather" garnered a resoundingly favourable reception. Trade circles are now closely examining the movie's box office receipts because the theatrical rights to the movie were sold for a hefty 96+ crores. Here it is now after three days of running.

Andhra Pradesh and telangana received a part of Rs 25.4 crores from "Godfather" in the first three days of its release. If the receipts from overseas and other countries are added, the movie's overall global box office "share" has reached Rs 32.5+ crores. Without a doubt, this is a respectable run for the movie, but given the holiday season, it should actually earn more money than this. One may question why, in a movie with superhit dialogue, the BO is so uninteresting. To become a superhit, the movie needs to gross close to 100 crores at the box office, and it has only done so with only a third of that money.

The dearth of masala music and comedy in "Godfather" is reportedly causing mass centres to perform poorly. Fans will find whistle-worthy moments because the film is filled with hero elevation scenes, but if box office receipts are any indication, B&C theatres are not particularly drawn to it.
