Secret Revealed.! The new president of bcci after Ganguly?

World Cup-winning all-rounder Roger Binny is expected to replace sourav ganguly as the next chairman of the Board of Control for cricket in India. Meanwhile, jai Shah is set to retain his post as bcci secretary. The discussions were reportedly held at an internal meeting of the bcci held in mumbai on monday ahead of the october 18 elections. Roger Binny, who was part of Kapil Dev's 1983 World Cup-winning team, is also said to file his nomination for the post of bcci president on Tuesday.
Candidates vying for the post of bcci executives can file nominations on tuesday and Wednesday. Meanwhile, veteran executive rajeev Shukla will reportedly continue as the vice-chairman of the board, ashish Sellar will replace Arun Singh Dhumal as the new treasurer, while Roger Binny in the past has served as the senior national men's team selector. Binny was on the selection panel when the squad was selected for the 2015 World Cup.Notably, Binny's name featured in the draft voter list for the bcci elections earlier this month and he was also named as the representative of the karnataka State cricket Association for the bcci AGM. Roger Binny, who played a key role in India's maiden world cup victory in 1983, played 27 Tests and 72 ODIs for india between 1979 and 1987.
Ganguly was unanimously elected as the bcci president in 2019. jai Shah also took over as Secretary in october 2019. Both took over the BCCI's operations after the supreme Court-appointed panel of administrators stepped down. Both Ganguly and Shah have overseen a difficult phase of administration, handling day-to-day affairs and planning major tournaments, including the IPL, during the Covid-19 pandemic.
