The leaders of the telugu desam party in north-coastal Andhra are said to be nervous following the spectacular success of the visakha Garjana rally organised by the ruling ysr congress party leadership on saturday in favour of declaring Visakhapatnam the executive capital of Andhra Pradesh. According to analysts, the YSRC leaders have largely been successful in instilling positive feelings toward the capital city of Visakhapatnam among the residents of north-coastal Andhra in recent days, and the rally on saturday has greatly bolstered the movement.

Though mood toward the capital has abruptly improved in recent weeks, particularly in srikakulam and vizianagaram districts, residents of Visakhapatnam City are still uneasy about the likelihood of the city soon serving as the executive capital. The tdp leaders are now in a precarious position as a result. "We may detect the evolving attitude toward Visakhapatnam as the executive capital. However, our party has made it a priority to advocate for amaravati as the sole capital. Senior tdp leader from Visakhapatnam: "We don't know what to do.

The tdp leaders believe that they would be in a safer position if they at least kept quiet. However, he added, "Our boss chandrababu naidu wants us to set up the Amaravai farmers' visit to north coastal Andhra and provide support for them." This will put the tdp in a difficult situation as it attempts to recoup the territory it lost in north-coastal Andhra during the 2019 assembly elections. An analyst stated that it appears the YSRC will maintain its dominance in these three districts by stoking the capital sentiment, which will support the party's return to power for a second consecutive term, albeit with a smaller majority.
