There were 140 huts and homes damaged. 64 trees had been cut down in chennai Corporation areas as of yesterday. 763 Matar Pumps are prepared to drain rainwater into puddles. In areas where the rainwater is standing still and is being pushed away, 250 metre pumps are used. There are now 169 relief centres available. Two of these assistance centres offer space for 35 people. They have been given access to basic amenities like food and clean water.
