The Northeast Monsoon in tamil Nadu has claimed the lives of 26 individuals so far, and the Disaster Management Department has announced that preparations have been initiated to provide relief of Rs. 4 lakh to each of their families. Regarding the effects of the Northeast Monsoon in tamil Nadu, the tamil Nadu Revenue Administration and Disaster Management Commission released a statement today: "Yesterday (November 5), 10.04 mm of rain fell in 37 districts of tamil Nadu.

The district of Nagapattinam experienced the most rainfall, at 45.93 mm. In chennai district, there were 2 casualties yesterday. There have been a total of three human casualties, including one fatality, in the Tiruvarur district. The Northeast Monsoon season has resulted in a total of 26 reported deaths. A relief of Rs.4 lakhs has been given to the families of the deceased.

Tamil Nadu alone reported 25 livestock deaths yesterday. There were 140 huts and homes damaged. 64 trees had been cut down in chennai Corporation areas as of yesterday. 763 Matar Pumps are prepared to drain rainwater into puddles. In areas where the rainwater is standing still and is being pushed away, 250 metre pumps are used. There are now 169 relief centres available. Two of these assistance centres offer space for 35 people. They have been given access to basic amenities like food and clean water.
