On friday night, Pawan Kalyan, the leader of the Jana Sena party and a tollywood actor, reconnected with prime minister Narendra Modi after an eight-year absence. The Eastern Naval Command's headquarters was where pawan kalyan met the prime minister shortly after he arrived in the port city for a two-day tour. After the almost 30-minute meeting, bjp ally pawan kalyan spoke to media and expressed his optimism that andhra pradesh would benefit from the meeting in the future.

He disclosed that the Prime Minister's office (PMO) had called him two days prior to extend an invitation to speak with the PM. According to the actor, the prime minister expressed his aspirations for Andhra Pradesh's growth and for peace among the telugu people. "The meeting was held under unique conditions. He inquired about everything. I gave him a briefing based on what I knew "said he. Following a brief statement to the media, pawan kalyan declined to take questions. It is believed that the two leaders spoke on the most recent political developments in Andhra Pradesh.

In light of the Jana Sena leader's efforts for political realignment, the conference gained significance. In order to challenge the incumbent ysr congress party (YSRCP) in the 2024 elections, pawan kalyan is eager to form a broad coalition of the opposition. The actor, a vehement opponent of chief minister Y.S. jagan Mohan Reddy, had said a few months prior that he was awaiting a blueprint from the bjp to remove the YSRCP from power. To avoid splitting up anti-YSRCP votes in the upcoming elections, pawan kalyan is in favour of having the telugu desam party (TDP) as an ally. In 2014, pawan kalyan supported the TDP-BJP coalition in the elections for the state assembly and the Lok Sabha. The actor spoke at a few public events alongside Modi and tdp leader N. chandrababu naidu even though Jana Sena did not run in the elections.
