For the first time in the indian army 6 women selected!!!
Initiatives are being taken in every field to increase the participation of women in the country and due to this, women have also got representation in the indian Army. For the first time, women officers in the indian army have been allowed to sit in the college staff exam, passing which 6 women have also been selected.
The most important thing in this news is that the exam we are talking about was earlier limited only to male officers. This is the examination of the Staff college of Defense services and this time 15 women have given the exam for the first time, out of which 6 women officers have easily passed this exam and got their appointment letters, which is a very important achievement.
In such a situation, a big question arises that why this has not happened till now? It has come to the fore that only those soldiers who have completed seven years of service and who have done junior Command Course or its equivalent course can give the Staff college exam in the Army. Earlier, there was permanent commission for women officers in the army only in the Medical Corps, Legal and education Corps.
The completion of staff college was not a requirement for promotion in such a situation, but the army now has the right to permanent commission in the army Air Defense, Signals, Engineers, army Aviation, Electronics and Mechanical Engineers, army service Corps, army Ordinance Corps, and Intelligence Corps. Because of which women had the right that they too could sit in this exam.
