According to The Times of India, a 34-year-old man killed his 30-year-old wife in Uttar Pradesh's amroha district after she allegedly refused to have sex with him twice in one night. After his wife refused to have sex with him twice in one night, the man allegedly strangled her with a rope in a fit of rage. The suspect, identified as Mohd Anwar, has now admitted to the killing in a video statement. About 50 kilometres from his house, he dumped the body before filing a missing person report.

Anwar was contacted for identification after the body was found by the police on Tuesday, a few days after the report. When he was later interrogated by the police, he sobbed and admitted to the crime. The couple has been together for nine years and has three kids. Amroha's Anwar operates a bakery.

Mohd Anwar confessed to the murder in a video statement to the police. He claimed that on monday night, he woke up his wife for sex. After a while, he wanted to repeat the action, but she objected. Anwar said that he strangled her to death with a piece of rope during a fit of rage. He afterwards placed the body 50 kilometres from his house after placing it in a plastic bag. He reported his wife of nine years missing to the police the same day.
