The fire and Fury Corps has told in a message that these bombs were spread over an area of about one and a half kilometres. The team took about 6 hours to defuse them. Many videos are also going viral on social media regarding these bombs. In these videos, villagers are showing live bombs spread over a large area.

The village around which live bombs have been found in Ladakh is a part of the Changthang border area. The Chinese army considers it disputed as part of Tibet. indian soldiers have clashed with the Chinese army many times here. Opposition councillors of the Ladakh Autonomous Council have written a letter to the Lieutenant governor regarding these bombs. In this letter written under the leadership of Saspol councillor Smanla Dorje Nurboo, Deputy governor AK Mathur has been told about a big conspiracy in this matter and demanded action. According to Nurboo, this is not the first case in this area. Bombs have been found here before also and our cattle have been injured due to this.
