Newyear Violations: Action taken by police..!?

276 vehicles seized:
In this situation, the chennai Metropolitan police conducted vehicle checks throughout the night ahead of the New Year. In this raid, 252 people were booked for drunk driving and their vehicles were seized. A case has been registered against 24 people for speeding. Also, a case has been registered against 22 people for dangerously sticking the vehicle.
A case has been registered against 65 people for three people traveling in a two-wheeler. A youth riding a two-wheeler in Valasarawakkam, chennai, has crashed into a roadside electric pole and died. A total of 276 vehicles have been impounded by the police across the city of chennai for violating the rules during the celebration.Similarly, police conducted vehicle checks in various districts of tamil Nadu. Accordingly, vehicle checks were conducted at more than 70 places in the Villupuram district. Among them, 150 vehicles of people who were drunk and roaming around without documents were confiscated during the New Year celebration.
