The telugu Desam party, led by former andhra pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, is once again attempting to become active in preparation for the upcoming assembly elections, which are due to take place in another 10 months. Naidu, who recently reorganised the telangana tdp by choosing Kasani Gyaneshar mudiraj as the new state party president, even spoke at a sizable gathering in khammam in december to demonstrate the existence of the party in the state.

According to analysts, Naidu is fervently trying to show that the tdp still has its own support base and is important in Telangana. They claimed that doing so will enable the tdp to approach the bjp with amity. As part of a trade-off plan, Naidu intends to support the bjp in telangana in order to gain their backing in Andhra. However, the bjp chose not to return Naidu's favour and has made the decision to avoid the tdp in the telangana polls. In a recent meeting, bjp state president Bandi Sanjay made it clear that any agreement with the tdp will only work against the BJP.

The tdp is currently exploring for alternative coalition partners because it has no other option. The party has secured an alliance partner in controversial political figure Teenmaar Mallanna in one of its most recent attempts. Teenmaar Mallanna and Kasani Gyaneshwar, the head of the telangana tdp, met in-depth on thursday to discuss Teenmaar Mallanna's support for the tdp in Telangana.
