Two weeks after the terrible earthquake that occurred on february 6 in turkey and Syria, strong tremors once again occurred on Monday. According to the european Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC), a very strong earthquake has been recorded on monday in the Turkey-Syria common border area. The intensity of this earthquake on the Richter scale has been 6.3 magnitudes, while its epicentre was about 1.2 kilometres below the ground in the Turkey-Syria border region. However, in the report of Sky news, quoting the American Geological survey (USGS), the intensity of the earthquake has been stated as 6.4 magnitudes and the epicentre is 10 kilometres below the ground.
On the other hand, according to Turkey's Anadolu news Agency, the Turkish Disaster Agency has also recorded another earthquake of 5.8 magnitudes in the Samandag area in Southern Hatay Province. ANI quoted Anadolu news Agency as saying that the damage caused by both earthquakes is yet to be known.
