In the chittoor district, there is a yuva Galam Padayatra being held by Nara Lokesh. Wherever possible, lokesh has been declaring candidates. Five candidates have already been named by lokesh in his Padayatra. This has been given a twist by blue media. They claim lokesh is hastily choosing candidates without providing Chandrababu enough time to select the best ones.

They also claim that the cadre is upset with Lokesh's choice of weak candidates. The strength or weakness of the nominees is a different issue, but it is absurd that the media believes lokesh announces the candidates without first contacting Chandrababu Naidu. The party bigwigs and consultants, together with lokesh and Chandrababu Naidu, discussed the contenders. At this time, just the selected candidates are being announced.

There hasn't been a declaration from lokesh because the tirupati candidate hasn't been decided. Twelve candidates have already been announced by Chandrababu personally during his district trips. Along with the five tickets announced by lokesh, he has previously confirmed tickets for the thirty-six already serving MLAs. According to tdp general secretary Nara lokesh, industrial tycoons have lost faith in the State government and are not making investments in Andhra Pradesh.
