Y S jagan Mohan Reddy, the leader of the ysr congress party and the chief minister of andhra pradesh, went to New delhi on thursday evening and met with prime minister Narendra Modi on friday morning. In the PM's office on the grounds of Parliament, jagan met with Modi for a half-hour together with other members of his party. people are curiously watching what happened when the Jagan-led group and the prime minister spoke.

As per usual, in the evening, the chief minister's office will issue an official press release to the media stating that jagan had discussed a number of outstanding issues with Modi, including funding for Polavaram, granting ap special category status, paying back the revenue deficit for 2014–15, unfulfilled promises made in the bifurcation act, the kadapa steel plant issue, etc. The chief minister, as part of decentralised administration, reportedly raised the issue of moving the administrative capital to Visakhapatnam with the prime minister, according to sources close to the power corridors. Since the supreme court is currently debating the capital issue, the Centre must expressly support the three capitals plan.

It would be simpler for jagan, according to insiders, if the Centre filed an affidavit in the supreme court indicating that it had no opposition to the transfer of the capital. These sources claim that jagan provided the Centre with a thorough analysis of the benefits of choosing Visakhapatnam as the administrative capital and the drawbacks of Amaravati. He informed Modi of the response he had received from the nation's leading industrialists to his suggestion that Visakhapatnam serve as the executive capital. According to insiders, he simultaneously requested exclusive funding to start infrastructure projects in Visakhapatnam.
