The 95th oscar Awards ceremony was held on march 13 at the Dolby theater in Los Angeles, USA. India's R.R.R. film bagged the award for Naatu Naatu song. The documentary The Elephant Whisperers, directed by Karthiki Gonsalves, depicts the journey of Bomman and Belli, a tribal couple from tamil Nadu. They have dedicated their lives to caring for two baby elephants. The documentary short describes the inseparable bond between them and how their actions have contributed to nature over time.
Following the film's award, the tamil Nadu government invited both Bomman and Belli and gave them an incentive of one lakh rupees each. In this case, the female producer Guneet Monga, who produced this film, has said that she was insulted on the stage at the Oscars. Talking about this in an interview, Monga said that she feels like she was insulted at the Oscars. Only the director was allowed to speak on stage during the award ceremony. When she came to speak they played music and stopped her from speaking. This is not right at all. It is worth noting that the Oscars have a rule that only 45 seconds are allocated for the acceptance of each award.
