Aditha Karikalan and Nandini's encounter is one of the most talked-about scenes in kalki Krishnamurthy's ponniyin selvan, according to readers who have read it. In an exclusive interview with OTTplay, malayalam actor Jayaram, who plays Azhwarkadiyan Nambi in Mani Ratnam's masterpiece, says that the director did justice to the sequence and "astonished" him with the way he shot the scene.
The minute-long music video for the song Chinnanjiru Nilave, which featured the encounter between vikram and aishwarya Rai Bachchan's characters, served as the filmmakers' sneak peek of the much awaited scene.
It's one of the movie's highlights, jayaram tells us. vikram enters a fort during a scene in ponniyin selvan 2. It's the scene where Nandini and Aditha Karikalan first meet, albeit I can't say too much more about it. In the text, that sequence takes up numerous pages," he claims.
It rained till 11 a.m. on the day we were filming the scenario, according to Jayaram. "Therefore, mounting the camera outside was not an option. I questioned how the scenario could have been filmed from the afternoon till the evening after the rain stopped. However, Mani Sir surprised me, and I'm excited to be a part of this movie.
Despite this, the actor admits it wasn't simple to film Aditha Karikalan's entry as planned because of the uncooperative weather. But neither mani ratnam nor his director of photography, ravi Varman, were hampered by this. The actor claims that this wasn't the only occasion when he had questioned whether scenes would be finished in time but that he had always been astounded by the filmmaker's meticulousness in completing whatever was scheduled for the day, even when it involved lengthy sequences involving over a thousand young actors and taking place in a foreign country like Thailand.
