Huge increase in electricity consumption in Telangana..!?

Electricity consumption in telangana is increasing day by day but not decreasing. The demand has increased at an unprecedented level.
Lack of rain and scorching sun seem to be the main reasons for the increase in electricity demand. In fact, statistics show that the daily electricity consumption in the month of june does not exceed 9,000 megawatts. However, different from last year, official figures say that on Tuesday, around 11,241 megawatts of electricity was consumed. It is noteworthy that the power consumption on june 20, 2022, was only 8,344 MW. Most of the consumption is for the agriculture sector. Officials say that due to the delay in the rains in the wake of the start of the agricultural season, farmers are using electricity in large quantities for cultivation. According to officials, the share of the agriculture sector in the total electricity consumption is 37 percent. Along with this, with the establishment of new industries, the power consumption in the factories also increased massively. Also, due to rising temperatures, electricity is being consumed in homes more than before. When telangana was formed, the state had only 18 lakh agricultural borehole connections. But statistics show that they have now reached 27.54 lakh.
